Houseboat in Saltsjöbaden, Sout-East of the capitol Stockholm, Sweden.


Summer of 2014 I saw this very nice houseboat in the harbor of Saltsjöbaden. Looks pretty of grid to me. I wonder how much they pay to lie here though. I guess it's not cheap.

Time for an update, this time a Houseboat that I found in Mariefred, Sweden this summer, 2014.

In the back is Gripsholms castle. Small boat harbor in the town Mariefred. Sundeck, looks nice!

Svenska Björn - A Light boat now functions as a houseboat (Husbåt)

This boat has been here as long as I can remember, that means about 25 years... It is a former Light boat that has been build as a Houseboat.
Rumour says it is really nice inside..
The name: Svenska Björn (Swedish Bear)

I think this houseboat was sailed from Holland. They told me that they had to keep close to land. If the wind is strong the boat gets into problem they told me. The engine is weak and the sides take up a lot of windpower. This they told med about 5-10 years ago. Perhaps it has a stronger engine now?

Röd falu rödfärg husbåt, jag tror det är denna som ägdes och byggdes av några svenskar i Holland. Dom seglade hit den ända därifrån under en semester. Sen har verkar den har blivit kvar här. Foto: Pher G Ågren
